Cyclops - by Corey Bernhardt
I actually think Scott is unfairly maligned quite a lot. The movies (as much as I loved them) didn’t really do him justice. Yes, he’s a bit more straight-down-the-line than most of the loveable rogue characters but someone has to be. And his background combined with the leadership responsibilities means he often needs to be more serious and focused. Remember he was a teenager when he had this responsibility thrust upon him. He’s seen more than his share of death and felt responsible for some of it.
When he’s well-written we still see a sense of humour - though understandably it’s more subtle and usually said with a straight face. But he’s the stubborn determination of the x-men. He’s probably bought the Xavier dream more than any other character and drives himself to live up to the goals.
I love trawling through DeviantArt for images, because it means I find amazing things like this. Also, this is another lineup that I’d love to read.

This is awesome. My favourite X-Man by far.
Jayson Weidel gave Cyclops a little more power behind that beam of heatless ruby-colored concussive force! Check out more of Jayson’s rad illustrations HERE.
